Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is an important aspect of the court's structure in that it allows disputes to be resolved without the need for litigation.
Question 1: Each student will address in an APA format paper using subject headings to separate the inquiries of the question:
Define what ADR is? What types are available? What are the pros and cons of each? If the case is not resolved by ADR or administratively, what options did you have to proceed to litigation? What courts would address this issue?Â
Question 2: To examine your understanding of ADR:Â
Locate an article regarding the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) from a newspaper, news magazine, University of Phoenix Resource library, Internet, or other literary source that illustrates a situation or event where ADR was used to resolve the dispute discussed in the article you selected.
To properly address Question 2 you must provide a summary of the dispute, your role, the process of how ADR was used and the eventual outcome. You must also analzye and discuss why you believe ADR was effective to achieve resolution and why it was preferred over litigation.
