The Persuasion: The Final Research Paper!

 

TOPIC:

The topic has already been established in the proposal assignment. Topic deviation must meet approval of Professor. The paper must be Argumentative/Persuasive; not merely informative. Subject must be specific â not a broad-based approach.

 

This essay should show the writerâs competence in quoting, paraphrasing, and summarizing source materials, as well as display correct in-text parenthetical documentation and works cited/References page.

 

LENGTH:

Successful papers will be between six and seven full pages of actual writing. This page count excludes works cited/references page material and title page material or abstract if using APA. Papers not meeting the minimum length will receive a failing grade.

 

FORMATTING:

Review MLA/APA formatting in the textbook, in the library, and on the internet.

Margins, Page Numbering, Indentions, spacing, etc. should all comply with current guidelines.

 

MLA WORKS CITED/ APA REFERENCES:

A minimum of five sources and at least two different types (ex. Three Professional Journals, a two Books) must be listed on your works cited/references page and coordinate with in-text parenthetical citation.

 

MISCELLANEOUS:

Student must use MLA or APA format.

Paper must contain three distinct sections:

q Introduction

q Body/Text (Support)

q Conclusion

 

This paper must use in-text parenthetical citations and must include a Works Cited/References page linked to those citations. Failure to do so will result in an automatic âFâ for either intentional or accidental plagiarism.

 

Paper must be word-processed with Microsoft© Word using a Times New Roman or Arial with a font size of 12 on standard white copy paper.
