Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs)

Federal Funds are awarded to state universities and economic development agencies to establish Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs).

SBDCs do not fund ventures, but will help prepare entrepreneurs who are seeking funding and assistance starting a business.

Write a 2-3 page paper.

Address the following in your paper.

  • Where is the closet SBDC in your hometown or the town where you are currently living?
  • What services are currently being offered through the SBDC?
  • Is there a fee associated with their services?
  • Can they point to any success stories?
