Nucleotides make up .

Monomers make up polymers. If you thing of Lego's, a monomer is a Lego brick and the polymer is a Lego house.

Using that example, you can think of nucleotides as the bricks, and nucleic acids as the house. In that way, nucleotides make up nucleic acids.

Therefore, nucleotides are the monomers and nucleic acids are the polymers.
