Giving an employee a sense of purpose will make the employees more productive and more involved. Everyone wants to feel that they are contributing to the success of the company they work for. Listening to the employees is also a good motivator. Good listening skills and showing genuine interest are attributes of a successful communicator. Managers who actively listen to their employees inquires and complaints are more able to solve problems and gain employee loyalty.
