Here is the topic: Sam Mendez’s version of the James Bond franchise, Skyfall, is the most popular of the movies in that series, earning $1.1 billion dollars since its release in 2012. But the film took some risks to do so, creating Bond not as the hero action figure with all the fancy weapons and transportation, but as an anti--hero type. In what ways is this most recent version of the MI6 agent challenging the tradition of having Bond as ultimately suave and successful in his work as a spy for the British Secret Service?
