ASSIGNMENT NEEDS TO BE CAREFULLY DONE AS NOTED

Assignment:

Locate two academic articles from a professional, peer-reviewed journal related to the topic of health and wellness in early childhood education. Be sure to completely answer all questions in each prompt below.

Professional, peer-reviewed articles come from sources such as the following:

• NAEYC http://www.naeyc.org/writeYC

 

These are excellent places to locate these types of articles as they have gone through the peer-review process. This process is used to assess the accuracy of research and ideas to ensure that the author's scholarly work, research, or ideas are research based and not solely opinion. 

 

After you have located your two articles continue by following the directions below:

Be sure to completely answer all questions in each prompt below. The directions for the sections were unclear. Let me clarify. There should be 4 sections, one for each article and a third for compare and contrast. Within the article sections (2 & 3) please create sub-headings for each bullet point. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper.

• What question/hypothesis was the researcher trying to answer or investigate?
• Define the variables studied.
• Describe the sample.
• How did the researcher gather data in the study?
• What were the results? How do the results affect your understanding of health and wellness in early childhood classrooms?
• What did you learn about how data is used in early childhood education from this study?

3.)Article 2 :Summarize both professional, peer-reviewed articles by addressing the follow for each study. 

• What question/hypothesis was the researcher trying to answer or investigate?
• Define the variables studied.
• Describe the sample.
• How did the researcher gather data in the study?
• What were the results? How do the results affect your understanding of health and wellness in early childhood classrooms?
• What did you learn about how data is used in early childhood education from this study?

4.)Compare and contrast both studies and explain the similarities and differences.

 

The essay should be 1750 words and should include proper citations for the two articles being reviewed. Follow the guidelines for APA writing style. The title page and references page so not count towards the minimum word amount for this assignment.
