Excellent points regarding needing to understand the culture of the organization before selecting an installation approach!
Â
With a culture where resistance to change is likely, then a Pilot or Phases approach is best. Cold turkey may just put people over the edge :-((
Â
Be aware, that when outside consultants or vendors are used for installation, they are typically not aware of the culture. Usually, they want to satisfy management and implement as quickly as possible. I have seen many "train wrecks" with this approach. I always have the Project Team determine the installation approach that is best, and convince management of that.

Other thoughts, Class, on culture and installation approach?
