In your initial discussion post this week, I will develop a SWOT analysis on a company of your choice and include 2-3 bullets in each category. Use your SWOT analysis to briefly describe one project idea from each of the four categories (see Figure 2-2 in your textbook for an example of project brainstorming using a SWOT).Â
In your replies, you will play the role of a manager charged with reviewing and selecting one project to complete. After reviewing the four-stage planning process, in your reply, discuss which project you recommend proceeding with first.

Here's an example:

The Harley Davidson Motorcycles Company is known worldwide as an iconic brand. One can find Harley motorcycles on almost any continent. Even though Harley was not the first motorcycle company the majority of Harley owners think it is the only motorcycle company. American lore is riddled with stories of gangs who only ride Harleys as well as groups who dedicate their time in escorting fallen warriors to their final resting place. My point is Harley is well known. Recently Harley has undertaken an interesting project that is unlike any other the company has tried. An all-electric motorcycle known as the Livewire is in its development stages and may hit the market in the near future.    Â
The corporate strategic ideal was to offer the public a first of its kind motorcycle. Although the bike is still going through tests to improve range and lower the overall cost, project managers state Harley will sell electric motorcycles within five years (Collins, 2016). This has been an interesting project for Harley because the ground up design of a ground-breaking product takes time unlike updating next year's bike with a new fuel tank or fenders. The Livewire is very technologically advanced. The SWOT analysis can be found below.
