For this assignment, you will examine Sumerian, Ancient Egyptian, and Archaic Greek sculpture. Utilizing your textbook, Internet, and library resources, answer the following questions in a minimum of 2 - 3 pages

1. Select a specific Ancient Egyptian sculpture from the Old, Middle, or New Kingdom. Your sculpture may be 3-dimensional or a relief sculpture.Was the purpose religious, political, or something else?
2. Is your sculpture a representation of Ancient Egyptian art? Consider pose, size, and realistic versus idealistic portrayal in your answer. Be sure to identify if your sculpture is Old, Middle, or New Kingdom. Identify which kingdom (Old, Middle, or New) your sculpture was created in. Discuss the importance of pose, size, and realistic versus idealistic portrayal for sculpture during that kingdom. If artistic innovations developed during that period, briefly discuss what those innovations were and how they changed Ancient Egyptian sculpture.
