Forums this week cover a lot of ground. Our reading covers substance abuse, changing attitudes about drug use, theoretical explanations of drug use, addiction, and criminal justice responses to this form of deviance.

1.    1. Evaluate the role psychological and sociological factors play in explaining substance abuse. Which do you feel is more important and why? Support your work with evidence from research.

 

2. In your view, which behavior is more deviant and which will likely cause the most harm? Smoking pot every day or consuming alcohol each day? Support your work.
