Paper No. 3:Â Second Impressions.Â
You have probably identified some significant problems with teamwork. Some of the problems stem from behavior, others from impressions and perceptions. Think back to your first impressions of your teammates â examine how your own personal âperceptual lensesâ may have influenced some of those impressions. Consider whether you have revised any of those impressions and in what way. If they have not changed, consider whether your impressions may be conditioning someone else's behavior (self-fulfilling prophecy/Pygmalion Effect - positive, Golem Effect - negative).
