The nature of the Atlantic Slave

The nature of the Atlantic Slave trade tended to silence African voices. The enslaved, generally, had little means to document the tragedy of enslavement. Historians, thus, rely on statistical data and memoirs to understand what the Middle Passage meant to the enslaved. Compare evidence of the Middle Passage from the perspective of the enslaved (Equiano) and the slaver (Buxton). Write a 200-250 word post explaining how you think their writings help us to better understand the Middle Passage? Think about the biography of both authors and the times in which these accounts were written. What do these narratives reveal about the age of abolition? Include at least one question for discussion.
