Saudi Arabia is the land of mountains and plateaus. The United State is the land of opportunity wild and free. Although Saudi Arabia and the United States are similar in that they are both powerful countries, they differ in several ways; government, foreign aid, and culture. This paper will explore each difference in detail.
One obvious difference is the government. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is a monarchy, but the United States is a democracy. In the KSA, immigration is not allowed; on the other hand, there are a lot of immigrants in the USA. There are not taxes in KSA, while the USA has taxes.
The second apparent difference is foreign aid. The KSA must help poor Muslim countries or that need help, but the USA help any emerging country or a need for help in the event of earthquakes and other problems, and not necessarily to be a Christian country. Saudi oil sells for Muslim countries cheaper than other nations, while America's local sells its products at the same price, or may be discounted to its alliance. Although they differ in foreign aid, they are helping all refugees around the world and also help each other and history bear witness to this.
The third clear difference is culture. In the KSA, family is the first priority for them; they take care of their parents when they become older. Children live in their families’ houses until they get married and they depend financially on their families until they finish school and get a job. In contrast, in the USA, family usually comes second; parents usually take care of themselves when they become older because their children are busy with their own lives. The majorityof children leave the family house by the age of 18 and become independent. In addition, in the KSA, women cannot drive, but they get personal drivers, while in the USA women are allowed to drive.
