I need to post a discussion on the matter below from another student. At least a 100 words to this discussion.

Social contract theory

Society, over time has allowed a large percentage of the youth to do whatever they want, instead of correcting negative trends and actions.  This has allowed the children to grow up without facing consequence. This behavior has multiplied with age, resulting in a young adult (reaching back several generations now) who isn't responsible for their actions, often resulting in serious ethical deficiencies. Look at those who believe society owes them something, repeated criminal convictions, and the list goes on. The only way to correct this behavior is to hold them accountable. This will need to be enforced using Thomas Hobbs' theory of the strength in numbers mindset by society working together to correct the problem with our youth.
