1.    The paper we discussed in class identified potential bacterial miRNAs that were complementary to human mRNAs. They also demonstrated that these miRNAs could target and repress human gene expression. However, they do not address whether or not this process actually occurs when human cells are infected with the described bacteria. Design an experiment to determine whether this in fact happens or not. Make sure to include what model system you will be using and what controls you will use.
