Scenario: An elementary-school teacher reads a story to the class about how plants grow. When the teacher is finished reading the story, she reviews the growth stages of a plant and uses flashcards that illustrate each stage. Then, the teacher gives each student a set of flash cards. The teacher tests the students' understanding of the process by having them hold up the flash cards in sequential order. The teacher rewards the students' success with praise and stickers.
