The growth of Christian Identity and non-Christian political religious groups is a direct attack on traditional religious organizations. Traditional religious organizations teach brotherhood and love of your neighbor, but both Christian Identity and non-Christian political religions reject this kind of teaching and provide for a more radical approach to religion. Often using the Bible as a justification for violent actions based hate and extremist beliefs. These extreme religious organizations spread the word of hate and contempt for other religions by using the pulpit as their teachable moment to other individuals with a willing ear. For this week's discussion topic, you are to examine the Christian Identity movement and describe how these churches have concocted their beliefs from their mystical readings and interpretations of the Bible. How do these extremists groups use the Bible as justification for their theology of hate? You are also to provide one example of a hate incident perpetrated by members of the Christian Identity Movement. How were these individuals able to justify through their belief system their criminal acts of hate.
