 The first video was very critical of the police interrogation methods suggesting that the police coerced witnesses to alter their testimony resulting in charging an innocent person with a homicide. The second video heralded the superb interrogation skills of the police in securing the confession of a serial killer, Russell Williams.
1. Describe in detail the interrogation techniques that were used in each case. What were the critical differences? How were they similar?
2. Why was one condemned and the other praised?
3. If these had occurred in the US, what Supreme Court Cases would have applied in each case to allow or prevent testimony or confessions to be admitted in court?
