This is the beginning of an operations analysis of an organization that runs for the entire course. You must choose an organization to study, and it is recommended that the organization is one where information is readily available. Each week you analyze the organization using the operations management concepts and techniques in the topics and learning objectives of the week.
Write a 5-page paper in which you:
Introduce your organization, with attention to the following:
- What are the products or services?
- Describe the industry.
- Describe the overall strategy of the organization.
- Describe the operations strategy of the organization.
Analyze whether the operations strategy supports or does not support the overall strategy of the organization to create customer value. An analysis of whether the organization’s mission and vision statements are supported by the corporate and operations strategy could add to this analysis.
Use the sand cone model and performance frontiers to analyze how operations impacts cost, performance, and quality.
Describe the transformational processes used by the organization.
Include a minimum of three references to good information sources.
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.
