Operations Analysis—Transformation Processes
Continue the analysis of your organization through study of the transformation processes.
Write a 5-page paper in which you:
Describe the different transformation processes used by the organization and how they relate to the facility layout.
Analyze the relationship of the layout to the transformation process and how this supports operations and organizational strategy.
Use tools that are appropriate for your organization. For example, if it is a manufacturing organization process analysis, then line balancing might be an appropriate analytical approach. A service organization might use service gap analysis to evaluate service process design.
Analyze how the product and process life cycles drove changes in the transformational process design in the past, and comment on how the transformation process might change in the future due to continued evolution of the product life cycle.
Include a minimum of three references to good information sources.
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.
