Proposal
Researching requires a search for knowledge on a particular subject. In this proposal, I
plan to include the purpose of my analysis and an analysis of the audience. I am writing to an
informed audience with the purpose to deliberate the reason this piece of literature was composed
as is by its author. I plan to include the following points: the consequences of Sammy’s decision to resign and the insignificance of an action in the long run. Pumose: The purpose of this analysis is to thoroughly explain why this literature was composed as a short story, the author’s theme, and the effect of plot compared to today. Audience Analysis: The audience for this paper would include anyone who has read the short story, “A&P”.
They are particularly interested in this topic because they analyze short stories oe are interested in
this one particularly. One way I could present this effectively to this audience is through an essay that holds credibility. Proposed Thesis: The thesis for my paper will be as follows Updike teaches the reader how values are differed today through irony, imagery, and symbolism.
