· Describe and give examples of three methods for assessing the progress of young children.
· Describe five ways that teachers can support parents of young children with special needs.
4. a. Select one area of development (not self-help),
b. Describe a three or four year old child with a delay or disability in that area, and how it affects his/her performance and
c. Write one goal and two objectives for that child (see examples on next page).
5. Explain why play is so important for young children and what can be assessed during play. (Cite at least two sources.)
