"The Enemy of the People"

Anyone ever read "The Enemy of the People"? If not, I attached it :)

Anyways, this is what I need answered... I'm really confused with this, thank you!!

List "solutions" offered by characters in the play. Then brainstorm additional possible solutions. Include both long and short-term approaches.

   Solutions
  1. New taxes on the townspeople
  2. _________________________
  3. _________________________
  4. _________________________
  5. _________________________

Write seven to nine sentence paragraph on which solution you think is the best and why. Your topic sentence may read something like this: Although many solutions were offered by officials of the town and the townspeople, the solution that would garner the best results would be . . .

Your topic sentence does not have to be like the one above; that is only an example to remind you that the solution should be mentioned in the topic sentence. You should have at least two reasons or facts that support your solution and an explanation of why each reason or fact is relevant.
