UMA has a new scholastic honesty policy that includes details explaining four types of violations. Read the four descriptions below and use that information to answer the reflection question.
Plagiarism:Â using or attempting to use someone else's ideas or work, in whole or in part, as one's own, without citation or other indication that the content is not one's original ideas or work.
Collusion: allowing someone to copy one's own work to use as his/her own, including but not limited to posting or sharing one's own work on websites outside of the UMA course rooms.
Duplication:Â submitting the same work as someone else, including but not limited to copying a discussion post written by another student or turning in copies of assignment worksheets posted on websites outside of the UMA course rooms.
Cheating:Â obtaining or attempting to obtain credit for work by dishonest or deceptive means, including but not limited to obtaining work from websites or other informational devices inconsistent with course room expectations as determined in UMA's sole discretion, or allowing someone other than the officially enrolled student to complete course requirements.
