I'm looking for the main ideas in each paragraph.
(Par. 1) Pornography has spread rapidly in recent years in this country, as smallpox would if there were no vaccination and no control by public health authorities. Like a disease, it brings no one any good (except the way a cold lets a lazy person “enjoy ill health” by giving him an excuse for not going to work, so he can stay home and waste his time). Like a disease, it does insidious harm, not only to the moral fibres of the person exposed to pornography, but to his character, for he can never completely recover.
(Par. 2) Those who have fallen victim to the infection of pornography need our help, as do people who have come down with pneumonia or diphtheria (bacterial infection that affects throat) ; and those who are deliberately spreading pornography for profit need to be quarantined at once. [The conclusion] is obvious and unassailable: pornography must be eliminated.
