My life changed forever when I married my high school sweetheart of 4 years. On the 27th of May 2006 at 1400 hours in Kirbyville, Missouri my best friend and I said I do. From that moment on her and I became one. We knew we wanted to start a family but didn't want to do it to soon. So we held off until we were married for a year. We were one month shy of being married for a year when she surprised me and told me she was pregnant. As I was working I received a phone call from my wife telling me she was in labor and needed me to pick her up. It was time to have our son! At 2323 on the 26th of October 2007 I became a first time father to our son Theron. Once again my life changed forever it wasn't just the two of us. It was now the three of us. Now I had to worry about taking care of my wife and son. I wanted my son to have the very best life I could possibly give him. When my wife decided to go back to school I had to think about how I was going to give my son the world. When it was getting close to my wife graduating college I decided that joinging the Army was a way for me to provide for my family and give them the best future. On March 9th, 2009 I left my wife and son to go to basic training and then AIT. It was a long nine months without them by my side but I knew this is what I needed to. I graduated and then it was time to start my army career. I got stationed at Fort Campbell KY. In the mist of this new life my family and I were learning to adapt to we welcomed our daughter Anna. My life really changed forever. I not only had my wife to care for and protect but I also had a son and daughter to love, protect and provide for. When my son was just three years old and my daughter was only seven months old I got orders that would change my little families life forever. I was given orders to deploy overseas in February 2011 on a 12 month tour for Operation Enduring Freedom. After my tour was over in February 2012 I returned home to my family and decided that military life was not for my family and I. I decided not to resign my contract and go back into the civil world where I wouldn't have to worry about leaving my wife and kids for training and deployments. The military changed my life forever in more good ways than bad. It has made me the man I am today and has helped me with the knowledge I have to provide a wonderful life for my family and I.
