Egyptian Women: Opportunities in Study and working in Higher Education Administration

Abstract

There is no doubt that development is the most important issues in the current era, especially in Egypt, which are classified as one of the developing country. The issue is not development capital and production only, but the development of minds. The empirics passed by the Arab countries to develop the economic aspects, which did not reach out a fruitful determination due to the target neglect social and cultural aspects. It is no secret what the essential role of the universities in human societies in developing. Universities plan present and future for the countries. We are today in front of a huge scientific and technical revolution in all aspects of life. In order to catch up with those of developed nations, we urgently need to cadres the brains of both sexes qualified morally and psychologically, socially, academically and mentally, intellectually and practically in various educational fields. One of the main issues in Higher education in Saudi Arabia is women status. Women are facing barriers in academic, administration, regulation and social standing in front of the expansion in participation in the educational system.

Vision 2030 of Egypt indicates that the number of women raise in the workforce to 30 per cent from 22 per cent the time being. The government will focus on the requirements of the labor market, and the development of public education, in order to forwards the request of the appropriate professional and career options for Egyptian  Women. Furthermore, the government will give the opportunity to repay the gap between higher education outputs. Unfortunately, they did give details about how to achieve these. Ministry of Economy and Planning, (2010-2014, p.38).Nine Development Plan which responsible for development egypt development suggests that the creation of job opportunities for females is still limited. It illustrated by the low participation of egypt women in the labor force when compared with their counterparts in the Arab and Islamic countries. Even, if the decline is part of the Arab region feature compared to other countries of the developed world. (Ministry of Economy and Planning, (2010-2014, p.38). Despite the fact that this issue has raised a lot of discussions, ideas, studies and processors on the international level, but it has not received sufficient attention on the Saudi level in particular. The present study, will focus on egypt women in higher education.
