1.             There is no greater place to observe the conservation of energy than a theme park. Work is done to lift a series of carts, so that gravity can do its work as potential energy turns back into kinetic energy on the way down to the ground. Raging Bull, one of my favorite rides at Six Flags Great America, is 61 meters high.
