the Christian concept of the imago dei, writing homework help

Question description

Please do a paragraph about this post with this instruction .

post most have  4 or more  sentences .

you also have to have a high quality post from a content perspective. This means it also needs to do more than agree with or praise a class mate. If you agree with a classmate, explain why, give an example, share what you learned in the readings

The Christian concept of the imago dei means created in the image of God, or, in God’s own image. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (The Holy Bible, KJV,Genesis 1:26).

To be created in the image of God means that we must look to him, it also means that we were created which separates us from the actual creator. Since mankind was created in God's image, we must possess some of God’s nature (goodness, kindness, desiring to do what is moral and right). We are also given responsibility over this Earth, to be caretakers. We were given dominion over all creatures of the Earth which signifies that God has set human beings above all things of the Earth.

I believe that being created in God’s image is very important to healthcare. It means that we must treat our patients (and all persons) with the same respect, dignity and reverence as anything that is of him because we are of him. This is true even if the patient is not a Christian, for as Christians, we believe that all people are created in his image, not just Christians. God holds us all as valuable, unique, the only ‘one’ of any particular individual and we must care for each other as such.
