Interview Paper
Create mock interview questions a CFO/CEO, treasurer, general accountant, CPA, CMA, CIA,
CGL, or any other official who is proficient with the accounting function of any health care
organization (preferably hospital or doctor’s office). This paper will be submitted through a
plagiarism checker so there is to be no plagiarism submitted with any of the mock questions and
your well developed answers). Please state the type of position of the person that you are mock
interviewing.
The interview should focus on the duties & responsibilities of the health care professional who
works directly with accounting and how they see their role affecting the internal environment of
the organization. A summary of the interview detailing the responses of the interview is all that I
would require. You may report this in a WORD document with bullets. Your interpretation is not
required but would be welcomed. This paper is generally 5 pages.
The purpose of this exercise is to create questions and answers of someone in healthcare who has
an accounting background. This paper should be graduate level coursework and your mock
interview should be reflective of intelligent questions a grad student would ask of someone in
their profession. Your questions may focus on what type of education they have received to
obtain their current position, what their job duties entail, what types of decision they make
strategically or short term, what type of problems they encounter on a routine basis, how ACA
(Affordable Care Act) has impacted their profession, how they adhere to GAAP, what challenges
they confront, etc.
You will need to develop a series of questions about the individual’s role in accounting and
record professional responses. Submit the questions you are asking and a summary of what you
learned in the process. Some submissions have actual responses, some have summarized
responses, and some have written formal papers based on the assignment (whichever preferred).
