Computer have developed more than half a century. In February 1946, the first computer was created in the United States, and it was used by army. This computer occupied 150 square meters and nearly thirty tons, and cost much money. However, this computer worked slowly and was only used by government. People cannot realize that computers will become an important part in their livings. With the development of science and technology, some advanced materials were used in the computer. In the 1960s, the second generation of computers was applied, and it was faster than before. Semiconductor Technology is the most important factor for the development of computer. Semiconductor Technology made computers smaller than before. Also semiconductor Technology made it possible to be used for most people. The third generation from 1965 to 1970 witnessed the invention of the integrated circuit computers replacing the transistor-based computer. After the early 1970s, the development of computer became more and more fast. The fourth generation computer from 1971 to the present saw the integration of microprocessor on single silicon chip and development of microcomputer. Computers were applied to different works, such as communication, technology, and economy. In 1981, IBM introduced the first personal computer. Then the computer became more powerful, flexible, even smaller in size, cheaper, and speedier since electrical signals traveled a short distance. So more and more people known what is the computer and started use it. With the development of science, there are many different types of machines like the personal computers, laptop, mainframes, supercomputers, embedded computers, and mini computers. The computer can be working when it has both     the software and the hardware. And there are many devices to help people input their information, including the mouse, keyboard, touch screen, biometric and voice commands, and buttons. Computer’s language is important, and computer will not work without this.

Nowadays, computer have become the important part of life, and it helps people in many ways. People use computer to control the transport, like planes, trains, and metro. Students also need use computer in their study, and you could see many high school or college student use computer in class. For economic, the advent of the computer already changed the way people used in transactions. People could complete their transactions at home or other place besides office. Practically, computer makes our life more interesting and convenient. We can watch movies on our computer, and play games with friends. Also, email and other software help us communicate with friends easily. Computer still have a great help for the dissemination of knowledge. Many files are uploaded to the network, and people could read them easily. It helps us get more and more knowledge about world and life. The computer is also much useful in education. The most obvious manifestation is that students and teachers always use it to complete their notes or works in class. Students can download the information they need from computer. Then they can watch videos about their class. Teacher can also upload some useful works for students to help them. Computers make our study diverse and simple. In conclusion, computer makes our life more convenient and easier.

However, computer also have a negative side for people. Hacker is a terrible part of the development of computer. Privacy is threatened because of network. People save their secrets in the computer, but hacker can steal this and send it to many people. It will make a terrible influence for this person. Hackers are difficult to catch, so people need to care for their computer. The computer virus will destroy your device, and then you will need to spend money to repair it. Many teenagers use computer, and they are also influenced by computer. Some computer games are interesting and makes teenagers feel happy. Then they will pay more attention to the game. Also, they needto spend lots money, time and energy for games if they want to be more powerful in games. It cannot make any benefit for them. The life would become terrible if someone just focus on computer games. Parents always want their children focus on studying, sporting and communicating with their classmates. Parents will be worried if their children spend whole day for playing computer games.
