But can the BSC concepts be applied to organizations that do not have a profit motive?
We are all familiar with charitable organizations. Watch the following youtube video relating to the BSC in such organizations;

identify a not-for-profit organization (at least by category) which you are familiar. This could be a religious organization, a health-care entity, or a university (Even NAU!).
Do you believe your non-profit organization would take the trouble to develop a BSC? What would be the advantages/benefits? What would be the impediments for your non-profit organization to actually create and utilize a BSC.
Also, if you have worked for an organization that adopted the
balanced scorecard concepts, share your personal experiences with us.
Remember, your organization might not have called the system a BSC.
