advocacy for nurses, writing homework help

Please do a paragraph about this post with this instruction .

post most have 4 or more sentences .

you also have to have a high quality post from a content perspective. This means it also needs to do more than agree with or praise a class mate. If you agree with a classmate, explain why, give an example, share what you learned in the readings, ask questions of each other, etc According to Tomajan (2012), every nurse has an opportunity to make a positive impact on the profession through day-to-day advocacy for nurses and the nursing profession. Workplace advocacy strategies have the capability of empowering the nurses to provide quality care to the patient. However, these strategies are naturally complementary and focus on strengthening the voice of nursing and ensuring nurses get involved in workplace decisions affecting the patient care. Some of the advocacy strategies at the places of work include shared governance which helps the nurses to focus on the organization’s micro level. It also extends to the larger and beyond the healthcare system. Empowering the nurses can help in the improvement of the environment in which the nurses work while enhancing delivery of quality health care. Additionally, at the place of work, nurses can be provided with decision support and ways of resolving conflicts at the point of delivering healthcare (Tomajan, 2012). Adequate Communication can also be an advocacy strategy. Most advocacy initiatives involve bringing individuals and groups together to address an issue or concern. Advocates need to communicate clearly and concisely and to structure the message to fit both the situation and the intended audience. Advocates must be comfortable with verbal, written, and electronic formats. Communication regarding the issue should be factual and consistent (Sanford, 2012). While it is important to be prepared to discuss the specific facts and data associated with the issue, it is equally important to discuss the impact of the situation on those involved. It can be helpful to put a ‘human face’ on the issue by using ‘word pictures’ (words that create a picture in another’s mind) to make the communication more effective.
