Week 3 Assignment: Vision: Imagine the Possibilities

A critical responsibility of an organizational leader is to envision the future and enlist others in the support of the vision. Your organization may already have a stated vision. For this assignment, take some time to research your organization’s vision.  Does that vision statement imagine the possibilities or express a common purpose? If it does not, reflect on these qualities and rewrite the vision from your perspective as the leader of the organization. Once the vision is sufficiently developed, prepare a powerpoint presentation designed to communicate the vision, enlist the support of others for the vision, generate excitement, and capture it through not only words, but also pictures—as the old adage goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words!” Include at least one slide of how you, as a leader (or potential leader), see yourself interfacing with others to achieve the identified vision of the organization.
