Prepare: Identifying your interests and values can help you choose a career that is meaningful and satisfying for you. To gain more insight into your interest and values, our Career Services department offers a personality assessment called TypeFocus. To complete this discussion, do the following:
Reflect: Use your Typefocus results (the directions to take the assessment are listed under the Typefocus Assessment tab in Week 4). See Step 1 (Self-Assessments), and read through the results in the interests and values categories. Then, click to open up the Assessment Results in Step 2 (Explore Occupations) and select “Education Needed: Four Year Degree.” From the list of occupations identify three careers that are a good fit for you (indicated by the most checkmarks). Note that they are listed in alphabetical order so you may need to scroll down to review all possible careers. Think about how these careers support your interests and values.
