An important aspect of multiple intelligence in class is when the kids are allowed to interact with each other in class through classroom activities. In such instances, different engagements help the kids become free to express their strengths and this helps teachers identify each student’s intelligence characteristics. However, it also helps identify the problems each individual student has and which criterion is affecting them. The interactions build their experiences and they get to discover their abilities on their own.
There are several criteria that characterize individual’s intelligence and they include naturalistic, visual, logical, musical, verbal, intrapersonal, interpersonal and bodily criteria. As stated above, these abilities blend differently in individuals, giving rise to different abilities. In a classroom set up teachers should try and involve the kids in activities bearing some or all of these criteria and assess how the children would respond to them. This would be a way of understanding the children better and assessing their capabilities.
