A ray of light

1.A ray of light is incident on a flat surface of a block of gallium phosphide that is surrounded by water. The angle of refraction is 9.6°. Find the angle of reflection. 

 

2. A light ray initially in water enters a transparent substance at an angle of incidence of 39.0°, and the transmitted ray is refracted at an angle of 31.0°. Calculate the speed of light in the transparent substance.

 

3. The figure below shows a refracted light beam in oil making an angle of α = 24.0° with the normal line NN'. The index of refraction of the oil is 1.40.
