I need to create an APA format transcript for creation of a mock podcast that addresses the below scenario.  In addition to the podcast transcript, I  need to summarize the main points in a two-page handout that outlines the key points discussed in the podcast.

The organization you work for has recently revamped its selection process for sales representatives and is now using a cognitive ability test, a personality test, and an interview to assess job applicants. Given the litigious nature of testing in an employment context, there are several members of your organization that are uncomfortable with the use of psychological tests for selection purposes. You have been approached by the head of the staffing department to create a brief podcast to briefly describe a few legal issues in pre-employment testing and ways your organization can protect itself against these issues. Your podcast should address the following topics:

  • What is Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964? What steps can your organization take to reduce the potential for adverse impact and disparate treatment in the employment testing process?
  • What is the American with Disabilities Act (ADA)? What steps can your organization take to avoid discriminating against qualified individuals with disabilities during the testing process?
  • Explore a recent legal case regarding use of psychological testing in an employment context. Provide a brief description of the case and share one to two key learning points that your organization can take away from the court’s ruling.
