For this assignment, you will have the opportunity to explore research and theory relative to leadership in higher education. As a doctoral student, research is a major part of your life and will continue to be a part of your life even after you have earned the doctoral degree. As a leader in higher education, critical thinking is used on a daily basis to make decisions, plan, and lead followers through major and minor change. Leaders in higher education are faced with pressures and arguments about the decisions they make and the directions they do, or do not, take.
You will research one of the following topics:
Argue both sides of the issue using scholarly articles from the library. Your paper must include a statement of the problem, a summary of the literature you found, any theories and approaches suggested by authors, and a conclusion with the recommendation to best address the issue.
Length: 7-10 pages, not including the title and reference pages
