The three strategies that I would use in the classroom are: using drawings, questions from the text, and partner reading. The students can use drawing to explain the story. The drawings will tell the other students what is going on in the passage. The drawings say a lot about what kind of message the author is trying to get across to the reader. The teacher can have the students read silently why they are answering questions from the text. The questions will let the teacher know that the students understand what they are reading. Partner reading help the student that is struggling with reading learn from the more advanced reader. The advance reader can help the low reader understand what is going on in the text.
