Rhetorical Analysis- Environmental Comm

 David Quammen authored both readings, one for the New York Times (April 2014) and one for Harper's (October 1998). As an essayist, Quammen must pay attention not only to content but also to style. Especially with long pieces such as "Planet of Weeds," information alone may not keep readers reading; content also needs style. So, looking at both these pieces, can you detect a “Quammen style”? Does he show a common style between the two pieces, one you might expect to see in other pieces by him, or, do the different publications call upon him for a different style? Please be specific.
