Winery Project

Visit a winery to expand your experiences with wine.  Most people have a winery nearby.  To locate a winery in Ohio, visit this web site: http://www.ohiowines.org/maps.shtml.  Most states have a similar directory of wineries.  Visit the winery and write a short summary of your observations and experiences.

When you visit the winery, ask about what kinds of wines they make, where the grapes come from, and what their best-selling wines are.  Do they have an unusual or unique wine?  If you taste the wine, what were your impressions of the wine?  Find out about the history of the winery and whether they have plans for expansion or other changes in the future.  Do they make the wine at that site or in another location?  Are there other features offered, such as souvenirs, food service, or music?  Do they offer winery tours?

Write a summary of your observations and experiences that is about 500 words long.
