Yes, I do believe that the American workers have too many rights. I can’t complain about the many human rights because at the end of the day is benefiting us and protecting us. I was born in Colombia, South America and I know for a fact that employment rights are completely different from America. I believe America takes care of their workers because they are the backbone of the economy. Yes, American workplace should be allowed to function in a democratic way. Furthermore, American workers have more democratic in their workplace and rights than other countries. Both federal and state governments generate many laws to protect employees from any unwarranted practices, discrimination, and any dangerous work environment. Also, woman employee rights have increased. Women are protected from harassment and have benefits during and after pregnancy. Other countries don’t have laws that protect woman employees.

An issue could be wages. America’s workers are always seeking ways to increase minimum wage. Millions of Americans are struggling because of wages. No employee should be working hard every single day and still live in poverty. America is also expanding paid sick leave. Some labor standards are Occupational health and Safety Act that ensures the safety of employees. Fair Labor Standard Act ensures that employers are paying at least minimum wage. Family and Medical leave act offers leave for family, adoption, and medical leave. Civil Rights Act protects workers from discrimination.
