The second poem isspring joy. When I see topic I think this is a happy expression of the poem author, but after reading the whole poem, it is not like that, so I think the first tension of this poem is the title and content of poetry: the poem's title is happy, but the content of it is very sad. This poem’s second tension is description of beautiful spring scenery and the sadness in the poem, for example, "Under the pear blossoms, Weeping with misery.","scented Grasses" and "tears of farewell". The beautiful scenery cannot dilute the author's sad mood. The third tension of this poem is the author's dream and reality, again expressed the author's sadness for the loss of love. The resolution of this poem appeared in the last stanza of it "It is easier to see Heaven, Than to see you." This stanza is the highlight and sublimation of this poem. If I have not seen this sentence I just thought that the writer and his wife are separated, however, when I saw it and I found his lover had passed away, which is more prominent of sad atmosphere and the author‘s the pain of losing lover. The biggest feature of this poem, in my opinion, is in the beginning by the description of spring scenery to show slowly emotions, which express it through views and is why the author write "chilly spring" at the beginning of the poem, which will give the whole poem a sad tone.
The third poem is winter night. Tension appeared in the seventh stanza "Body visiting this world steadfast, mind abandoned to change limitless." This stanza expresses the powerlessness of the author, and how he determined to do something but his thoughts did not. This poem is also used the same word to emphasize the nature of things. Take following as example: "Older now, sleeping less and less." ,this stanza use two ‘less’ to emphasize the author's sleeping time is very short. The poem also set off the author’s tone through the description of the scene, "I listen as the snow example begins to fall again, that hiss outside the window." Author can hear the voice of snow, which expresses the author's environment, was very quiet, and he was alone. This poem resolution also appeared at the end of the poem -the last stanza of it "it’s been like this four years now, one thousand three hundred nights.", the author expressed himself for his oldand sad through the description of the number 1300 , which also expressed his loneliness and helplessness.
The similarities of the three poems are that the authors expressed their feelings through the description of scenery and objects. In the night thought, the author expressed his missing of his friends through description of the moon; in the spring joy, the author expressed his missing and sad for his dead lover by description of the spring scenery. In night winter, the author describes himself to hear the sound of snow, as well as his wick, lamp flame, the description of the reality of their own which is loneliness and slowly become older and older, then to express their own helplessness. These three poems all used domesticizing translation, because the translation words of the three poems are similar to English poetry, as well as structure, the length of every stanza are different. Both of the first poem and second poem describe their own dreams to compare with their own dreams and reality to express their feelings. All these three poems also mentioned the night, which expressed their feelings through the description of the night.
