·        Identify the key issues that you believe are vital to Quality of Life inside an organization and suggest measures that would improve group morale and enhance both efficiency and a sense of community. [MO 8.1, 8.2, 8.3., 8.4]
Â
Â
Employees have responsibilities to their employers as well as personal responsibilities. They are also entitled to some rights which must not be breached by the employer. To ensure quality of life and improved group morale among employees, an organization must provide a platform on which employees can resolve their conflicting obligations. This discussion identifies the key issues that are vital to Quality of Life inside an organization and suggests the various measures that would improve group morale and enhance both efficiency and a sense of community within the organization.
Â
The key issues surrounding quality of life within an organization include fair compensation, safe working conditions, special relevance of work, constitutionalism within the work place, and opportunity for career growth (Bennett & Hartman, 2015). Employees have obligations to fulfil work related and non-work related tasks, to respect and to be respected by both colleagues and employers, to show responsibility to the organization and for the organization to reciprocate the same, to be provided with some level of autonomy at the work place to pursue personal goals as well as collaborative goals with other employees, to express their fears at the work place without fear of retribution.
Â
Low employee morale within an organization can cost the organization. For instance, in such an organization, absenteeism, stealing, lack of cooperation, and inter-office competitions which are destructive. To improve group morale and enhance both efficiency and a sense of community within the organization, the organization should ask for feedback from employees, use a strong and transparent promotion tracks, and celebrate work anniversaries. Such practices boost the morale of employees while at the same time enhancing both efficiency and a sense of community.

Charley,
Â
Does your employer survey employees regularly for feedback?  My company seems to do a survey for everything! We have annual employee feedback surveys that take about 30-45 minutes to complete and ask about a variety of topics from the work environment, to technology support, to direct leaders, to executive leadership, to compensation and benefits preferences, etc. I like that they ask regularly and the results are shared with the teams and areas of concern are incorporated into yearly goals.

Hello Charley,
Â
You mentioned good important key issues that surround quality of life within an organization. Employees’ well-being should be extremely important for an organization. When an organization improves the life of their employees, job satisfaction and productivity increases. Quality of life also increases retention in an organization. A survey is a good way to obtain feedback from employees. In my organization, we use surveys for many reasons.

Hello Charley,
I like the idea of the company getting feedback from the employees, we are only allowed to give feedback on the training which is provided for us. The Judiciary does allow the clients to give feedback on the staff which I really do not know if they take what they are saying into any type of consideration because I still see the probation department being nasty to their clients and nothing has really changed since I have been there.
