After reading the chapter 1, I feel I had a better understanding of what defines business analytics especially in terms of data integration with data sources coming from the inside and outside the company that valuable for the forward-looking business objectives of this last one. However, the challenge that caught my attention is the lack of data governance which I think is very primordial for a company. In fact, this challenge needs to be address within the company, therefore precise and efficient effort from the business and technology department needs be performed in order to ensure and control that the data used and published from various systems within the company is accurate and reliable.

I personally think that it is important to keep a uniformity between the data shared within a company, therefore there is no alteration for the analysts who are at the end of the data chain distribution. Finally, data governance within a company needs to be enforce so for example important data assets are properly managed as well as data can be trusted and that people can be made accountable for any adverse event that happens because of low data quality. In my opinion, an efficient and well implemented data governance will provide to the company an increase in confidence and consistency in business decision-making.
