Week 10 Prompt
Urbanization
For week ten, we're looking at chapter ten on urbanization. To switch things up
this week, you'll post a question in a new thread and with your two other
discussion posts, you'll answer your classmates' questions.
This week is
a good test of how far you've come in learning about geography,
whether you understand how the subject applies to your life, and whether you
can think like a geographer.
Feel free to use this week's discussion as a way to learn what is in the chapter by
asking a question like "What is a palimpsest?" and in turn answering questions
by
using or referring to
a lot of information from the chapter.
You'll be graded more on your responses than the question you ask. However,
if you ask a particularly insightful question it can only help your grade. Since
this is the last week, it is a good time to include page number citations, links to
relevant content, images, maps, and/or figures.
There are
no word count or vocabulary word minimums for your posts this
week
, however I will be looking for in
-‐depth and insightful responses that utilize
textbook vocabulary.
The majority of your discussion grade for this week will come from your
