Your new boss, who is the vice president in charge of marketing at a multinational hardware/services corporation, has asked you to help her understand the current state of the company. She has sent you a file (attached), to help her understand the current state of the company.

Part 1:

Access

a. Based on the excel data file (attached) create the appropriate worksheets and upload to access database. The goal is to improve the data integrity and follow the rules for the three normal forms.

b. Create appropriate relationships. Create and run a query.

c. Create one form for one of your worksheets

d. Save the access data base.

 

Part 2:

Using the 5 step data exploration process, explore the data set. Discuss the data set, explore it, define the task and present your results.

Your results should be in the form that you can present to your boss to better understand the company. At a minimum your results should include at least:

- a write up discussing the data set, cover the steps of the data exploration process.

- various charts and tables in the form of a Dashboard that focus on the information you feel is the most important to the manager. This should include at least a pivot table and pivot chart.
