Calculate the duration of a symbol for a bit in a two-phase modulated system transmitting at 20 Mbits/sec in a spectrum with central frequency 2.45 GHz. What will be the duration of each bit in one of the subcarriers of an OFDM system which uses 1024 sub-channels? Next, assuming the system operates in the spectrum range 2.4 to 2.5 GHz, determine how many cycles of the central frequency, 2.45 GHz, will be repeated during the trans- mission of one bit in both systems the system which uses twophase modulation directly modulated onto the carrier frequncy of 2.45 GHz, and the OFDM system, in which each sub-carrier is modulated much more slowly. Suppose a bit is transmitted via two paths: path 1 with delay 100 nanoseconds, and path 2, with delay of 125 nanoseconds. Calculate the degree of overlap of the symbols for one bit, in %, in both cases, ie for the direct FSK system and the OFDM system with 1024 sub-carriers.
